Studying Forensic Computing I have gained many skills such as network configurations, database management, how to work well within a group and how to keep organised. I have also learnt the use of forensic tools and have the knowledge of protocols and ethical guidelines. With good organisational skills, I have taken on the role of administrator and change manager. This involves me keeping documentation up to date, note taking for meetings and implementing any changes made throughout the project.
We are all currently Forensic Computing students in our final year to which we all have different skillsets enabling us to excel throughout our project. We are going to engage in a mock scenario investigating a cyber-stalking case involving a mobile phone which has been confiscated from a suspect. Throughout the investigation, we are going to compare commercial and open source forensic tools and evaluate the pros and cons of each.
